| Since February 2010, ATM and Visa Debit cards have been available to customers of the bank. |
| Advantages |
| 1. No need to carry cash |
| Most merchant establishments (including supermarkets and filling stations) accept |
| debit cards. You do not need to worry about losing cash or misplacing it in clothes. |
| If your purse or wallet is stolen, your money is safe since since the perpetrator |
| would need your PIN number to access your funds. |
| 2. No need to go to the bank |
| You do not need to make a trip to the bank every time you need to withdraw |
| money. You can use your card just about anywhere you go, and if you need the |
| cash you can access your money at an ATM of any bank displaying VISA logo at any |
| time - day or night. |
| Points to remember |
| * With a debit card you must keep accurate records. You must record each |
| transaction so you will know what your account balance is at all times. If you do |
| not keep records, you run the risk of inability to draw funds if there is not sufficient |
| balance in your account. |
| * ATM transactions involve fees. Know ahead of time what the fees are. All fees for |
| Capital Bank card transactions are listed under the Useful Information link above. |
| * Plan carefully, and keep some cash around for emergencies. By staying organised |
| with your records, you will have no problems sticking with your debit card. |
